Abstract

Several lines in research of social differentiation in China are reflected in the writing of Chinese scholars. To study this issue, “ disruption theory”, “middle class in the making theory”, “reproduction theory”, ”fragmentation in the course of structuring”, “T-like society” etc. are used. The role of market mechanisms and China government policy is actively studied to work out countermeasures for overcoming social inequality.
