Abstract

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of self-identification of Russian and Chinese students. Russian students emphasize their uniqueness, while Chinese their ordinariness; Russians are more optimistic and cheerful, Chinese are more inclined to introspection; Russian boys and girls are more open in expressing their feelings, the Chinese are more reserved. Self-characteristics of Russian and Chinese students are largely caused by the differences of the two types of civilization: West and East.
