Abstract

Theoretical and methodological aspects of convergence of development levels of regions are reviewed in the framework of the EU integration processes in the 1995 to 2009 period. Basic provisions of the convergence concept are discussed as applied to these processes. Main types of convergence and evaluation methods of empirical studies of these processes in the territory of the EU are reviewed.
