Family policies in Europe: evolving models, discourses and practices

The article describes characteristics of evolving European family policy since the second half of the XIX century till our days. Influence of family demographic and social factors on the formation of discourses and family policy is shown. The diversity of state strategies to support families is analyzed in the context of various models of European states.
