Abstract

The papes presents the attitude towards social order displayed by a nation with a most extensive in Central and Eastern Europe's democratic tradition. Against the background of the dynamics of mass political attitudes and orientations before and after the revolution of 1989 it is found that social preferences by “Czech man”, his mentality are immutably. Special attention is paid to the difficulties in the making of civil society in the Czech Republic.
