Abstract

The article attempts to interpret discursive understanding of sociological surveys results opposite in method, meaning and implications obtained via different research paradigms. On the one hand, methodology of quantitative research (surveys, polls), on the other – tradition of the qualitative methodology were used by the authors in field of peasant-centered expeditions. With the use of the Russian folk heritage we discuss meanings and specific interpretations of the experienced implementation and reproduction of everyday peasant existence.
