Abstract

Based on the representative all-Russian 2016 poll of the analysis of the employment of universities’ graduates 2010–2015 is continued. Their position on the labor market in 2016 is characterized as follows: the level of employment and unemployment based on specialties of learning and the age composition of the unemployed; the distribution of employed as per the place of basic work and the type of employment contract. There is a description of those who change the places of work, reasons therefor and a more detailed description of the group who change them due to their own wish. There is a comparison of distribution of graduates as per the initial and current place of work (for groups of specialties) plus a comparison of the degree of the connection of the current work with the specialty. It allows to reveal the spheres of activity where it is more difficult to find work on the specialty and where the situation is more favorable. There is an analysis of average salaries in the groups of bachelors and specialists/masters, differing in age, sex, place of residence, economic activities, occupation groups, and in comparison with all employed. It shows peculiarities of the assessment by the labor market of human capital of universities’ graduates.
