Abstract

The article is devoted to the place of sociology of law in the training of future sociologists. The specificity of this branch of sociological science and the position of sociology of law as an academic discipline in the educational programs of Russian universities are analyzed. There is a lack of demand for sociology of law in the training of future sociologists. The reasons that determine this position of sociology of law as a discipline are discussed. One of the most important is the complexity of the development of sectoral sociology at the interdisciplinary level of the study of social relations and legal phenomena and phenomena. This determines the complexity of teaching this discipline, which should contribute to the assimilation of legal concepts, theory and practice. The advantages of including sociology of law in the plans of future sociologists training are shown. The importance of applied research of the legal life of a person and society is emphasized, and the necessity of orientation to the value-normative system in the study of legal norms and legal acts is noted.
