Abstract
The article contains an analysis of the empirical study results about the pension reform impact on women’s reproductive attitudes in Russia. Based on the content analysis, it was revealed that retirement age increase had not previously been studied as a fertility factor. The described empirical study was conducted in all federal districts of the country in June 2020 on the quota sample basis. The women’s location, age group and income level were used as indicators for allocating quotas. 831 respondents were interviewed. The survey results analysis showed that almost a third of the respondents are going to change their reproductive plans in connection with the pension reform. The conclusions are drawn that the changes in reproductive behavior are multidirectional: some women have shown the intention to give birth to another child due to the possibility of retiring earlier intend, while others to reduce expected number of children.
