Abstract

The article analyzes the state and prospects for the development of additional education for school-age children. The authors come to the conclusion that the role of additional education in the formation of a child’s personality is increasing as a result of parents’ dissatisfaction with the quality of school education. The authors analyze availability of additional education and involvement of school children in it on the basis of RosStat data and sociological studies. Special attention is paid to the features and development prospects of the linguistic component in additional education.
