The article analyses the results of the 13th Conference of the European Sociological Association held in Greece in Athens in 2017, new theoretical and methodological approaches that are put forward to study the increasingly complex realities of the modern Europe, the challenges it faces, as well as the idea of creating its updated model oriented to humanization of peoples’ relations. A special emphasis is placed on disclosing the proposed innovative ideas that enrich the sociological knowledge.
