Abstract

Intrenet tends to gradually displace traditional media in the structure of media-preferences of Russia’s population, especially in age groups up to 40. Basic Internet function is communicative one, a fact confirmed by the results of our study. Social networks and blogs are the most demanded sort of net-resources. Main barriers in the way of further Internet expansion into life space of citizens have already not infrastructural, but a competence-bound and social cultural character.
