The article describes the situation with use the languages of indigenous peoples in the North, Siberia and Far East in the Russian education system. There is a trend to reduce the number of owning their ethnic languages and studying it at school as a subject, as well as a decrease in the number of educational institutions where these languages are taught. The situation is catastrophic. Author proposes a system of urgent measures to support learning ethnic languages.
