Abstract
In the XIX century the infant sociology and theology have experienced an uneasy relationship, more like a confrontation than mutually beneficial cooperation. A considerable share of this responsibility falls on Comte depicting intellectual history of the Western world as the ascension of the collective mind to a state of complete freedom from religious-theological influences. Now new developments are taking place in the interaction of sociology and social theology, a survivor of the times gone by disqualification.
