Relationships of mutual respect are analyzed as the quality of daily life in Russia. Two types of respect are discussed, their social function and features of manifestation in modern Russia are illustrated. Causes of deficit in mutual respect among Russians are investigated, along with its influence on the development of social relations and institutions of society.
