Abstract
Analyzed are the structure and characteristics of the literary community of Rostov-on-Don. The author comes to the conclusion about the quantitative growth of the urban literary community with a parallel erosion of the criteria of its vertical stratification. Growing coincidence of many “writing” persons and local reading audience is stated.
