Abstract

Influence of regional creativity as a factor that characterizes social environment differentiating specific regions according to the level of their digitalization (digital regionalism) is discussed. To calculate correlation we use complex index of creativity space involving three components (“talent”, “technology”, “tolerance”), and complex regional digitization index contaiing three components (ICT development index, composite index of digital literacy and digital life index). As a result of our comparison of Russia’s regions (subjects of the Federation) digitalization and creativity indices we stated a high Pearson correlation between these indices. This proves significant influence of region’s creativity on the speed and depth of development of the “digitizing” main spheres of life in it. This result coincides with foreign studies, which also found this effect.
